They had supported our crowdfunding campain earlier this year, now we return the favor!
We will bring our Percussion section together with the vocalists. Sadly, the location can not handle the entire band...
But, as we all know, the minimized formation packs quite a punch! Like back in the old days!

Having already played with us on Fusion Festival, we know they'll do a splendid job in blasting our songs, and they have also proven the stamina needed as well ;-)
As time goes on, with such a huge line-up, it sadly is inevitable that some of our members have a change in their personal biographies, and change location along with it. But worry not, change is part of life, or as Rafiki (you know, the monkey-shaman-wise-guy) from Lion King puts it: Change is good!
Our blazing horn-section is about to be re-vamped, as we say goodbye to our terrific bass-trombone fundament Reinaldo "Koko" Donoso Pizarro, who moves back to Chile in fall, as well as our "man-in-the-middle" Roberto "Moña" Lorenzo Elekes who moves to Madrid.
It has been our greatest pleasure to have been playing with you guys, we all have grown because of it ("Louder! Faster! Nastier!") and have really become a family-away-from-home over the course of the last years.
Thanks so much for all of your effort, energy, love, blood and sweat! We really have had a blast!

Buyakano has had some terrific concerts this summer, most notably our shows on SommerMusikFest, Loshausen WorldMusicFestival and a fantastic collaboration with Rüdiger Oppermann's KlangWelten in Frankfurt.
Another highlight being the presentation of the Buyakano Workshop that we gave, the performance was truly bombastic:
50 Drummers, 10 Horns, together with our usual bass-guitar-insane-rap combo was almost like a force of nature! Blasting some of our songs with more than 60 people was simply to good to be true...
Stay tuned for more media from the before-mentioned shows, as far as we know, all of it has been filmed ;-)
It was great to be spending so much time together, finally in a warm, summer-sunny surrounding, with great food, athmosphere...in short:

By now we are all spread throughout europe, having various individual summer plans, and are very much looking forward to our next major happening:
Recording our second CD coming october!
As always, thanks to all our fans for their support and the roaring crowds on the concerts, it is great to feel your amazing energy every time!

Together with the multi-Instrumentalist Alfred Ssempeke, Rüdiger Oppermann, the traditional korean drummers from Noreum Machi and many others, this is sure to be one heck of a concert, and we love being part of this...Modern Samba Percussion together with Korean Drums? Hell Yeah!
After those exciting weeks Buyakano will have come from, we'll gladly take some time off after this last concert of the summer.

Fusion is an alternative Festival for World-, Electronic-, Reggae- and Hip-Hop music in the east of Germany on the grounds of an old military airport, the biggest non-comercial Festival in Germany with around 55.000 visitors each year!

We have started to work with Jahviva Booking, an agency specialized in mostly world music, located in the south of Germany. They have a great crew and a very practical, down-to-earth, comforting way to handle things.

Buyakano has been invited to play on this years' Bremer Karneval.
We play 2 sets, once a short preview of 25 minutes on the openAir stage at 16:00 o clock, and the second time on the stage of the Schlachthof in the evening at 21:45.
We are highly anticipating these 2 shows as they are the perfect showcase for all those samba fanatix in Germany. And, since we do something different than the rest, the audience is bound to either love or hate it ;-)

No, seriously, we are truly happy that our EP goes round the world, we are down to our last 750 copies already! Props to our Label Hey!blau for the great support and new impulses they have given us so far! And of course thanks to the people at recordjet for featuring us.
Currently we are rehearsing, writing new songs, improving the old ones and getting ready for the next boombastic buyakano season! It's fun to have all of us together, quite a happening in itself...

It is a great pleasure to be working with Manuel Cooymans on this, having recorded the album of Medicamento he has excellent expertise in the sound we wish to create: Fresh and hip, strong yet dynamic.
Featuring Jenny, Andy and Irene on vocals, with strong horns and a fat bass these recordings are sure to be a blast! A bombastic wall of sound indeed!
Radio 6 has featured a video from a recent performance of our take on Outkasts "Hey Ya!" on their blog. Check it out, that evening was truly fun...
